Please NEVER advertise free pets on craigslist. Take them to your local shelter where potential owners will be screened. Would you give your child to a stranger off the streets to look after him/her for you?

Why I believe adoption is the right thing to do

There are thousands of dogs in shelters all across the country just waiting, day in and day out. Hoping that they will be selected to go to a warm and loving home. Look into his eyes, doesn't it just break your heart? :'( Please adopt, don't shop for pets. They are desperate for love.

Please, if you've stopped by this blog, take a moment to read this article. It made me sick to my stomach to think of how these poor animals in puppy mills are mistreated beyond words. Something has to be done. In a nation where we claim to uphold the rights to freedom and the pursuit of happiness, we deny the creatures under our care the most basic needs.

We can't just sit back and let others take action because that is how nothing gets done. We have to stand up for the rights of animals. I challenge every animal lover out there reading this blog, even if you accidentally stumbled upon it, to please consider the many ways in which you can help abused dogs. Sadly, they are everywhere-both cats and dogs actually- and they need our help.
